Headteacher's Welcome

I am extremely privileged to be the Headteacher here at Bracken Edge working in this fantastic community.  I hope this website is able to give existing and potential parents and carers an opportunity to gain a real sense of our unique community and the education we provide.  Set on the edge of Potternewton Park in Leeds 7 our children are at the heart of everything we do.  It is my firm belief that children only get one chance at an education and as such it deserves to be the very best.  We want our children to enjoy learning and to respect each other so they become confident and happy young people who when they leave us in year 6 are ready for their next phase in their learning.  We have an active Friends of Bracken Edge Group (FOBE) and we work in partnership with them to provide enhancements and support for our families.  We have wonderful outdoor facilities with our own woods, nature garden, pond, chicken coop and vegetable plot which we use to enhance our curriculum and provide real life experiences.  

We have a wonderful team of staff who want to ensure that your children meet their potential and most of all enjoy it along the way making memories that last them a life time.
